Former Sterling Farms Chicken Hatchery operated in the 50's and 60's by my grandparents, HD "Doug" and Virginia "Sally" Thorne for JW Ruby. My parents met here, my Dad Bill was Doug & Sally's second son and when on to retire from Sterling Plumbing, also founded by Mr. Ruby. My Mom, Anna Mae McMillen, worked at the hatchery before completing Morgantown Business School and retiring from MonPower.
