My home farm!! (The Rohland Farm just west of Cnty. Rd. E, Curtiss, WI)
Man, I would do anything to relive a day there just one more time.....

That was my parents farm AL and Helen Rohland. My sisters Sheila, Sharon, Susy and I (Sandy) lived and worked on this farm. Learned the value of family working together, respecting the land and the value of hard work. Many memories.

I painted a lot of that fence and took care of the lawn, milked cows, etc. I helped my dad and uncles put the addition on. Quite a few of the boards on the hay mow floor were put on my me. Sometimes wish I was back on a farm.... large garden, lawn, flowers, animals.

This was my parents and our families pride and joy where you earned a good living by working hard!! Unfortunately it has suffered many years of neglect now and I purposely won’t drive past it because it would break my heart to see it in that condition. It was once a showplace, but no more…… my parents retired and sold it in 79.

Hello Sheila,
I'm sorry to hear that the property has fallen into disrepair; we're glad to have this vintage aerial photo as a reminder of its former glory. Can you tell us more about the area and what it was like growing up in Clark County around the time the photo was taken in 1978? We'd love to hear more about your experiences and memories from that time.
