We have lived here on Glory Rd. since 1993. We purchased the property from Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hensler. In 56 years it has changed a lot. There is a 2 car garage where the summer kitchen was. The barnyard fencing has been replaced and updated and is used for horses instead of cows. We recently restored the chicken house. Instead of the 300 hens Henry had, we only have 5. There is a machine shed across from the house. We just completed putting standing seam metal roofs on 100% of the buildings. The pumphouse is almost finished being restored and the corncrib had a complete make over in 2018. We have tried to keep the buildings looking like they were orininally, because that's what attracted us to this farm. The hickory and oak trees have filled in the fence rows and we enjoy hiking on the 300 acres still intact on this farm. We've needed to tile many of the lower fields. our sons and grandchildren hunt turkey, deer and rabbits in the woods. Most of the old trees you can see in the photo along the driveway were toppled during near tornado winds. The field to the left of the driveway has a baseball field with lights and is great for flying kites. Joni
