This home is located on Prairie Grove Road just south of Barneveld, WI. It was owned by my grandparents Russell & Lulumae Showen. Their daughter, the late Susan (Showen) Komplin was my mother. In the front yard just to the right of the house and slightly left of the first gravel drive you can see an old tree stump. I remember when that tree had to be cut down because it was diseased. It used to be a cheese factory that my grandfather worked at and lived. When the cheese factory was closed my grandfather bought the property and lived there until he died in 2004. We spent a lot of time there running through the woods in the back and playing in the back yard under the large oak trees and helping my grandfather in his garden. I remember in the summer the house would get very hot because there was no air conditioning so we would play in the woods where it was cool. Roger and Donna Mueller lived in the farm across the street.

I bought this place one year ago, Looks a lot different now. Thanks for the history.

2017,I bought this place, I was wondering what the name of the cheese factory was. Also would love 2 have a current Photo from the air, I did buy a 1978 photo.
