The playhouse and outhouse are gone. The wooden corn crisis no longer where it’s shown then. We still had the old garage and dad’s workshop. And the wood shed is still under that big tree. Some of the tree is still there, the woodshed is gone.

The above entry should say corn crib, not crisis. This is the Carrson Farm, which has been in the family for more than 150 years! My mom’s grandpa and mom’s dad built it, which later, my dad married my mom, they bought the farm and raised 8 kids. My mom never moved, her entire life, until she moved into an assisted living facility, at the age of 89. My dad passed before he could live in the A.L.F. with my mom. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary, in May, that year. Mom lived 11 months after dad, but was able to celebrate his 90th birthday with him, in heaven! Medically they say she died from a major stroke, but us kids, knew, she died from a broken heart. My brother bought the farm, so it’s still in the family!
