Photo 3-BRO-34

Supposedly the original settlers came in 1857 from Vermont, the Atwood’s. They built a new house that is in this photo in 1876 along with half the barn. The second half was built in 1882. This is according to a letter dated back from 1981, an ancestor who spent summers there before the Atwoods sold it in 1902. I now own the property. Unfortunately, it has many years of neglect, like many. Fortunately, it is still standing overall strong, even the mortise and tenon barn. Of course my dream would be to get it going again and preserve the 160 years of history, the history that made America great.
