Carl's son was a private pilot for a wealthy oil family in Tx, one son had taken his life years before and Carl's wife passed around 1997 after years of dealing with a stroke, Carl was in his mid 80's when he sold the home to Kevin & Barb Nichols in 1998 they were raising one daughter (Nikki Roth), had a one year old son (Kole Nichols) and expecting another daughter in the Fall (Tristyn Nichols) meanwhile they operated their business A+ Power Sports & Trailer Sales next door.
