I grew up in Hagan and this was my family's business. I worked various jobs, including in the Parts Room (hated it) and driving the tractor trailer truck for Shuman Oil Co. In 8th grade I also cleaned the three bathrooms in this building weekly and received $1 for each bathroom cleaned . . . saved the money and bought myself a Motorola transistor radio!!

This property on U. S. Hwy 280 in Hagan, GA, was once owned by Bo Sikes. It was purchased by the Shuman family and the building in the left front foreground (often comically referred to by Shuman family members as the "Hagan Mall" once housed Randy Shuman's hair salon; Teeny Shuman's jewelry store; Jimmy Shuman's 'Hobby Attic"; and Becky Shuman's recording studio in the wing at back that forms the buildings "L" shape. The house was rented out by the Shuman family for years. This property was sold in December 2011 as part of the H.G. & Teeny Shuman Estate. The "Hagan Mall" has been demolished. A service station / convenience store is located just to the east (right) of this photo as of 2022 (see Amoco sign and gas pumps in lower right of photo).
