The top of the tree in the foreground is an American Chestnut. All of the mature chestnut trees died from a disease in the 1970's, and you can see in the picture that this one isn't healthy.
Robert Niemoeller lived in the brick house and still lives there. He is my uncle. My grandparents Clarence and Etta Niemoeller lived in the smaller house at right center. Today my cousin Mark Niemoeller lives there.
