I don't know much about the farm in the foreground other than the land belonged to Henry Joiner as early as 1868. During the latter 19th to early 20th Century period, the intersection in the upper left was part of a place called the Five Points Corners. There was a creamery in that area where the little ranch house is in this photo The ranch house is still there. The basement sticking out of the ground across from the ranch house was for many years the Mayfield Grange. The road running left to right in the image is Five Points Rd and the road running up and down in the left side is Old State Rd. Everything in this view is in the center portion of Sec 26 of Mayfield Township, DeKalb County, IL.

This was the farm of Carl Swanberg and I married his Daughter Kathy. They sold the farm in early 1973.

Does anyone know where the Frank and Helen Masterson Farm, Mayfield Township, was located?? I spent my summers there and would love to know the location.
