I believe it's the old Wing & Finn on off of Sullivan Lake Road in Ingleside.
I had friend named Tom Thompson, his father George was the owner in the 50’s and 60’s. This is now just trailer there for golf course check in. The other siblings were Dee Dee, Pat, Jim, Buzzy, and George.
Yes, the Wing & Fin Club.
Yes Wing Finn club
The Wing 'n Fin Club was organized in 1945 by Louis Behm and Carl Effers and located on W. Sullivan Lake Road just north of Volo near the Volo Bog State Natural Area. The hunting and fishing preserve included 500 acres and Sullivan Lake (behind the building). In the first year, plans were to raise and release 6,000 pheasants and 3,000 mallard ducks. Activities also included skeet and trap fields, bathing beach, skating, hiking and fishing. The building was used for their hunting club that included a restaurant and banquet hall available to the public.
By 1971, the name was changed to Feather Busters Club and by 1975 to October One night club. In 1977, the building was destroyed by fire. The Lakemoor Golf Course purchased the property and in 1978 construction of the golf course began until it was completed in 1990.
Today, this location consists of a trailer used as a clubhouse for the golf course. Sullivan Lake is considered a shallow natural pothole slough.
