I believe this was originally the home of Dr. Benjamin Rappaport. He moved from Evanston to this 40 acre site and continued his pediatric practice by incorporating a clinic into the West end of this home, adjacent to his attached garage. It was known as Rappaports 4T (40) acres. My parents helped him find and build on this site. Subsequently this became the village hall for Old Mill Creek.
Dr Rappaports sister was Dr Frances Horwich who played Miss Francis on the original Ding Ding School TV show for children.

Did you ever visit the property growing up?

Visited many times Alexis. I had some health issues when i was born and Dr Rappaport was recommended to my folks, even though his practice was in Evanston. They became friends and were fascinated by my Moms tales of our life in the country. Our family farm was a mile west of Hunt Club road at the intersection of Crawford and Kelly Roads. The Rappaports were so taken with the area that they bought 40 acres and built this home.
