Texaco gas station with railroad depot

View looks east into Elkhart, Illinois. That is the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and the ex-Chicago and Alton Railroad depot is in the background. U.S. Route 66 is the 4-lane highway in the foreground. The Texaco station, whose building still stands, is in the SE corner of the intersection of U.S. 66 and what is now Governor Oglesby Street.
