Do you have a personal connection to the Shipley family or the property? What kind of farm did the Shipley family have?

Yes this was actually the Shipley/Patterson farm My great-grandma and her family lived there in the late 1800s and into the 1900s. I don't know the exact details on what they did there One of my uncles would have to chime in on that but I know the house remained in the family until I believe somewhere in the late '60s early '70s possibly. Original house is gone It got damaged in a chimney fire and it's currently owned by somebody up in the Chicago area that built a cabin on the site and hunts the area. The big ravine to the back is actually full of water and appears to be a small pond now
