Donald and Eva Banks Farm house

Yes, I grew up in this homestead along with my 2 older sisters, and my dad’s families. Unfortunately, it is not standing now and sadly plowed under.

Did you live on the farm during the time this photo was taken? What was your favorite part about growing up on this farm?

No I wasn’t born yet (I don’t think). I’m not sure of the dates of these pictures. There are a few things missing that I remember well; a chicken house, livestock scales and hog shed between the barn and big shed.
I loved the smell, the freedom, safety, and the heritage of centuries of the Banks family that owned this land.
