The was previously Eder School on Hollywood Road, before being repurposed into a residence. The Freeport Journal-Standard reported that the school was sold to Chester Strohecker for $2,225 on July 17, 1959. Eder School had been part of District 113, before being annexed to Freeport District 145. The school was in operation until at least the 1955-56 school year, based on news articles in the Journal-Standard.
