This is the Larry & Kathleen Good farm and I grew up here in the late 70s and 80s on this farm east of Colfax, Indiana. My dad had additional buildings built in the mid 70s, so this is really neat for me to see an original picture of the property before Dad had them built. Most of the buildings were torn down after we moved and the house is now gone due to a tornado that hit this past spring.

Hi Erin! It's fascinating to hear about your memories of the Good farm in the late 70s and 80s. It must have been quite the experience growing up there! We're sorry to hear about the tornado damage. Can you share any stories or special moments from your time on the farm? Also, what kind of farming did your dad do on the property?

Dad grew corn and soybeans mainly and raised cattle and hogs. I think we had goats at one point, but they were short lived as they were a nuisance. Mom had a huge garden. At sweet corn time, the whole family would gather to put it up. Everyone had a specific job to do, even I did being the youngest. I think I had to pull my radio flyer wagon back and forth from the house to the compost.
