Grew up on this farm. My parents bought it in 1940 during the war. Only cold water inside. Dad put in a 1/2 bath on the first floor and full bath on 2nd floor 9 years later. No central heat system. The house has double brink walls, built in the 1840's. Had 4 fireplaces. Barn timbers were moved to the property from Ohio and siding was put on at this location. Outside kitchen building (one with belfry on top) was original kitchen. Bell was for emergencies only. This building is now gone, all others remain (2015) and original slate roof on house now a metal roof. We sold it in early 1990's. Such wonderful memories growing up here, playing on our 60 acres, our chickens, sheep, my horse, the cows. I was SO excited to be able to buy this photo...the perfect view of "my farm". Thank you for preserving my memories in this aerial photo.
