Squire Boone Caverns, Mauckport, Indiana. I am employed here. I was hired in May 2017. The building to the right is the Hannah Boone Candle Shop. This was named after Squire's daughter in law. She was married to his son, Judge Moses Boone. Inside the Candle Shop you will find a fireplace mantle that came from the Old Goshen Baptist Church. The church was built by a number of individuals in its congregation including Squire. His son, Moses owned the property it was built upon. Later deeding the land to the church elders after his father's death. In the foundation of the fireplace below the mantle is a gristmill stone that came from Boone's Fort. Later to be known as Fort Boonesborough. Squire helped his brother Daniel build that fort. The building to the left in this photo is the Soap Shop. Lard and Lye Soap is still made in the cabin as it was years ago.
