This is the Ballard/Haag/McClain farm that used to be located east of 1000 N, north of where 1000 N intersects with 650 N. The driveway to the house crossed School Branch. The drive is still there, but the rest of the farm and house have been demolished. The western edge of Branches subdivision is now located there. This property was one of the first settled in Brown Township.

The old Ballard family cemetery still exists just to the north, still accessible today via the Branches subdivision.
