This IS on east side of US 31 in Johnson Co. but not sure if it is the same location at Edinburgh where it was later a Dodge dealership (Fletcher)

This is not Edinburgh but could be the west side of 31 in Franklin Indiana what is now Matlock ford. In the late 60's and early 70's there was a Chevrolet Dealer [Roberston] on 31 in Edinburgh - after that it was Fletcher's - the Ford dealer was on SR79 that is a 2 lane

Smart Ford was south of County Line Road just off the corner of County Line and US 31 south on the west side of the street the photo above appears to be Matlock Ford in Franklin Indiana

Pretty sure it’s Smart and Perry Ford off of County Line. The very next picture is Firestone off of County Line.

I remember a commercial jingle for smart in Prairie Ford that went like this: “Think smart. think smart and Perry Ford Drive out and save with Jack and Dave on the smart and perry Freeway” Another car commercial went like this:”Sharp deal number 2 Ba ba ba ba, ba BYU bu, in Indianapolis, where the DEALs just keep on coming!”

Thank you for all the great information and collaboration to identify this photo. I am trying to pinpoint the exact location. Is any of this still there today? I moved the map pin to the intersection of US 31 and County Line Road which sounds close to the spot but I don't see Perry or Matlock Ford.

Nathan, the dealership is no longer there. There is a strip mall with apartments behind it.

This was on US 31 just south of County Line Road. I found an aerial map from 1971 that shows it there.
