I currently live in this house (2696 Vinegar Hill Rd). From what I understand the house was built in 1855. When doing some remodeling, we have found a lot of newspapers from that time frame. The house now doesn't have as many trees around it but the trees in the woods have really grown. That old pond is still there but the old barn is long gone and another was built before we bought it. I know a lady that lived in the house as a kid, and says she has pictures of the place, I hope to get copies someday.
