This is the farm where I grew up. I was 10 months old when we moved here from New Hartford, Iowa. My parents, Dick and Ruby Huisman, rented this 160 acre farm from the Harringtons, 50/50 for about 25 years. The old farm house was demolished in the 1970's and a new home was built by Wayne Epley, of the Epley Seed business in Shell Rock. The old barn fell down last year.
