This is the acreage I grew up on. My parents, Harry J. Weigandt and Ruth Weigandt, purchase the acreage around 1969. It did not have a house. My parent has the house moved there.
The farm house was located on highway 61, south, located before the first Waspsi River bridge. I was around eight years old. My parents had the basement dug and the house placed on the basement. Watching the house get moved was quite amazing. The property included part of Silver Creek. It was a wonderful place to grow up. My younger brother, Chad Weigandt now owns the house and part of the acreage. Another brother, Harry D. Weigandt, bought part of the acreage, and has a house east of the original farm house. Most of the outer buildings are gone, and a garage has been added.
