When this picture was taken in 1975, my grandparents, Daryl and Delores Johnson lived here. There was a rendering plant (not shown in the photograph) up the lane operated by my grandfather, my dad (Jerry Johnson) and his brother (Gene Johnson). Gene and his wife Cheryl lived in the double-wide trailer seen in the picture. They had two children at the time, Dawn and David. My dad and my mom, Sindy lived in the trailer seen in the picture towards the back slightly hidden by the trees. At the time of this picture, they had one child, Crystal. My parents moved to Lake View, but returned in 1978 with their three kids; Crystal, Cara and Corey and moved into the big house. My grandparents moved to town, Gene and Cheryl moved to Linn Grove and my dad's brother Carrie and his wife Sue moved into the trailer with their daughter, Corinne. We lived here until I was in second grade. I found a couple more shots of our acreage taken in 1978 on this site.
