I currently live in this home, located north of Fernald, Iowa, on county highway S-27. It was built about 2-3 years prior to this photo being taken. It was built by my grandparents, Glenn and Eva Kenney. This photo was taken the year I was born, 1978. Today, many of the trees towards the back are gone, but many still remain including the tiny trees lining the south part of the drive in the photo, which today are full, beautiful Norway maples. Although there are no farm/out buildings in this photo, a farmstead once resided here, but I have been unable to unearth any photos of it. Foundation emerging from the ground is about the only thing that remains of that former farmstead.
