AMAZING photo! Omer and Verna Lacina (both deceased) moved to this farm shortly after this picture was taken (1966). Dutch Elm disease ravaged the trees - I remember dad saying that he had to cut down more than 20 trees from the yard surrounding the house. This is the farm where I grew up, but was only three years old when we moved in, so I do not remember all of the trees. Today, James C and Deb Lacina own this farm and still live in the big ol' farm house (built in 1882). The house and ice-house / garage are probably the only two buildings standing from this picture - IF you could see them!
