Hill Grove Church

This is Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1985. This is the church I was saved in and joined 1974. My whole family...grandparents, aunts and cousins...went to this church every 3rd Saturday night and following Sunday. The original building in this photo had a wood burning stove and no air conditioning. The graves in the most of the cemetery were covered in moss and bleached mussel shells from Nolin River. The graves in the back were numbered since they had been moved from the area from the nearby Nolin Lake area before the lake was built. This building no longer stands, but the memories will always stand in the hearts of the Big Pete and Carrie Sanders family.
