I believe the old house in the background was my grandparents, Carl and Effie Hazelwood. Many years after their death, the brick house was built by their grandson, Harold VanMeter. We lived immediately across the road. Many memories of walking down the gravel lane to loving arms and unforgettable food.

The house in the background belonged to Carl and Effie Hazelwood, my great-grandparents on my father’s side. Dillard and Rhea Williams (and children) rented the house and lived there for a period of time. They are my grandparents on my mother’s side. My parents, Harold and Odeline VanMeter, lived in the house until they built the brick house in the front around 1975. If you zoom in and look in the shadow on the right of the brick house you will see me aged around 4 years old. We sold the property in 1992
