This is the location of our present farm. The farmhouse burned down in 2019, and we just finished building a new home on the same site. We suspected there was a structure where that black barn was as we keep finding building debris there, but weren't sure til now
Hi Laurel! That's fascinating to hear about your present farm and the history of your property. It must be bittersweet to have lost the farmhouse but now have a new home in its place. Since the aerial photo was taken in 1979, I'm curious if you have any memories or stories from that time period in Harrison County? Also, what kind of farming have you been engaged in on the property? We'd love to hear more about your experiences.
We bought this land in 2020, so the farmhouse had already burned down by the time we obtained the property. Our neighbor grew up in the farmhouse though.
