Morrey Farm, Mechanic Falls.
The former Morey Farm is located on Route 26, in Mechanic Falls, Maine. Route 26 runs north-south in the lower left portion of the picture, parallel to the long farm building. The farm was first developed by Edwin Morey, a Winchester, Massachusetts, manufacturer. In its heyday, the 500-acre farm was one of Maine's showplace dairy and agricultural farms.
In the mid 1930s, the farm was sold out of the Morey family to Henry and Ada Gagne for approximately $10,000.
