Peter Campbell Farm on Parkhurst Siding Road in Presque Isle.

I picked potatoes for Peter and then worked on his harvester when I was in high school. He plowed in the winter for our family on Fleetwood Street. He was the brother of Willie (Wilma) Footer. Peter was a kind and strong man. When one of our co-workers jumped off the harvester at the turn around to pull tops, his leg was caught under the wheel. I remember Peter scooping him up and running up the field in the soft dirt effortlessly to get him to A.R. Gould hospital - his legs was broken. Peter could fix anything. His wife baked homemade bread and we would often stop there for lunch during harvest.

I married one of his daughters!
