think this is ferand daigle phil use to go wash his car there

I have quite the story on this place...

Sunoco gas station owned by Ferdinand Daigle Sr. Now owed by Ferdinand (Paul) Daigle the 3rd....

Spent a lot of lazy summer days there with cousins

Sunoco gas station owned by Ferdinand Daigle Sr. he also did radiator repair work there for many years. it has been passed down in the family .

This was once known as Daigle's Midway Service Station. It belonged to my father Ferdinand Daigle Sr. I am the youngest of six children. Many wonderful memories for me, but one stands out the most, as it sure made a lasting impression one the mind of a young child. I would often ride my tricycle in the yard of his station. One particular day while riding my tricycle, I had to go pee pee. The garage had a bathroom. I parked my tricycle in from of the door. While preparing to sit on the seat, a huge rumbled happened and the door swung wide open!!! I was so frightened that I jumped off the seat and hid behind the opened door. I stayed there for the longest time. There was a lot of commotion going on outside, so I dared not move. I was too young to understand what the commotion was all about; let along leave my safe place behind the open door. What happened. I was explained years later what had happened. A vehicle had somehow hit the side of the building crashing down the embankment, hitting my tricycle on the way down. The vehicle came to a sudden halt next to the railroad track. Many neighbors searched for me, thinking I had been pinned under the car along with my tricycle. My guardian angel must have protected me. So scared I stayed hidden there until I finally came out much later. A nearby neighbor noticed me, and he yelled out in french, "ici, ici, elle est ici!!! I was to young to understand what had happened, but that door...will forever be etched in my brain for ever.
