Lavertu Settlement behind Grand Isle

I grew up there, Many of the barns are gone now and a new one erected. The roads look in better condition back then! Lol.

Born and raised in the house at the top. My father built that house, barn, and shed - Oneil Lavertu. Great place to have grown up.

Sure has changed a lot. I'd had all but forgotten about the old potato storage we used to use.

My mothers family "les levesque" grew up just down to road from here! I now live in the house mom grew up in! Its changed so much...

Wow it has changed! Would have loved to still see it like this!

I remember picking bottles off the side of the road to take to the store, which is the little white building, bottom right, so we could buy a "fireball".

The little white store my mother and father owned (winnie & ernest lavertu) . I grew up in the big house next to the store. It was a lovely experience growing up in that neighborhood
