This is the Roderick farm on the north corner of Roderick Rd and Benton Ave in Winslow, Me. The larger house in the lower right is still there today. The other buildings and smaller house came down in the mid 90s to make room for the current housing development. What a great round barn that was.
Correction, this is the Deane farm
Early on this was the James Dean dairy farm: round barn and chicken house. His daughter, Francelia Corbett (Don)later sold part of the farm to Countryacres Development, east of the CMP powerline and which is now part of Frankwood Drive. The Corbetts sold much of the acreage to Auger. Part of the remainder of the Auger Farm is now Meadowview Condominiums AND the chickenbarn section is the Central Maine Veteran Park. Lots on Corbett Lane west of the Clement Simpson land was also originally part of the Deane/Corbett/Auger land.
