Uncle Clayton and Aunt Mary Worster 😃

My grandparent's old place in Prentiss Plantation, Maine. The attached building in the middle was Worster's Store, run by Clayton Worster, Sr. for 21 years. Many, many happy memories of weekends spent here. At the store I remember a Hershey bar was 10 cents, Reese's Cup 5 cents, and a bottle of pop was 20 cents. A BIG bag of Humpty Dumpty chips was 25 cents.

It was THE gathering place in the small village for people to spend time telling stories and catching up on the local goings on. The red paint on the top front edge of the old Coke cooler was worn off due to the many people sitting and leaning on it. A trip to "the store" for some gas and a pack of cigarettes could take some people an hour. Ah, the days before Facebook.

Grew up right beside it :)
