My great grandparents bought the farm out front in the early 20's. My Grand father received the farm and property by will in 1937. Then my father built the new chicken barns and a house out front in the 1961-1962 timeframe. I built a house to the right of the old farm house in 1991 which is where I still live now. I own the original farm house which is one of the oldest houses in Carmel, the chicken barns and the property. My Father stopped raising chickens in the late 80' when the poultry business failed in the State of Maine. I love the photo of the old homestead. There is one more from a different angle that shows the house that the house that my Parents, Brothers and I grew up in. I intend to order that photo also. Thanks, Brent Johnson
