Main Road (Rt. 209) in Phippsburg, Maine. Current home of Peter Doran.

425 Main Road in Phippsburg, Maine. This house was built sometime prior to 1871 and was previously known as the "Lowell farm," more research would have to be done to determine date that house was built. This land formerly belonged to James McCobb in the 18th century and was conveyed ("sold and contracted") to John Parsons by an agreement tendered on April 9, 1788. Unfortunately, James McCobb's passing on July 7, 1788 put a hitch in the plans. Eventually the estate was settled and the deed was recorded on February 22, 1792. Sometime between the 1788 and 1792 dates John Parson (who married on of William Lee, Sr daughters) built the brick house just south of this house. Parson's acquired "one hundred acres of land lying and being at a place called Drummore in Georgetown & bounded southerly on land belonging to John Rogers, and easterly on Drummore Creek Marsh, being forty-seven rods wide on a strait line from said Roger's line at high water mark & running north nine? and a half degrees west thence east to the edge of the marsh the one way and west to the western bounds of the tract of land of which this is a part owned by James McCobb Esq deceased the other way, thence by said bounds westerly and southerly to Winnegance Marsh and by said Marsh to John Roger's land aforesaid, it being the land on which said Parsons now dwells..."

So true. Hoentsy and everything recognized.

I feel satisfied after reidnag that one.
