643 Main Road (Rt. 209) in Phippsburg, Maine. In early 1970's the highway was widened at this point taking out some of the front dooryard (Sagadahoc County Recorder of Deeds has surveys on file that illustrate the changes in the road along this section). Current owners are Richard and Carole Main. Historically, I believe the land in 18th century belonged to James McCobb and then transitioned to the Butler family (who built the residence). I may be wrong, Carole would know the exact details.
