This is the old Davis homestead, which according to a caption on a photo at the Phippsburg Historical Society, was built in 1820. The home is shown on the 1858 Chace Map; it was located on the west side of the Town Road / Main Road / Route 209 just to the south of the Getchell homestead (in the area between today's present day Phippsburg Elementary School and the Sam Day Hill Road). The caption also mentions that this residence was, at one time, the home of Everett Harrington. In 1965 the home was razed as a result of a road widening project encroaching upon it.
