Outer Commercial Street (located just before the town line to St Albans on the left) in Hartland, Maine. This was the Forest Clair Woodman homestead in 1963. Clair, as he was known, came with his parents (George Woodman of Plymouth) to Hartland from Newport about 1920 when they moved into this place. Clair was widowed by the Census of 1930 and was living here along with his son, Royce Woodman. He was still living here in C/1940 and took over the house following his father's death in 1945. He operated a dairy farm from the homestead where he bottled and delivered fresh milk for many years in Hartland. Clair eventually sold the house soon after this photo was taken (not sure exactly when?) to Walter Butler and it became the Hartland Western Auto Store for many years.
