Ahalt farm on Carroll Boyer road.
Grandfather Luther bought this farm. Later Uncle Amos farmed it until it was sold to Kenneth Wiles.

Hi Joann,
What kind of farming did your family do on the property? Do you happen to know what kind of truck that is between the house and the barns?

5615 Carroll Boyer Rd., Middletown. House still stands, barns are gone. One new building near the house.

Grandfather and uncle were dairy farmers. Grandfather sold cream to Main's ice cream in Middletown. Later shipped milk to MD/VA milk producers. Grandmother raised poultry. Sold chicken eggs to hatchery in Frederick. Also raised turkeys. My mother grew up here and helped her parents doing all the normal farm chores as well as field work. She loved riding horses and loved her dog Reckie.
Now all the buildings are gone. The house burned in the spring of 2022. The Wiles family still owns the farm.
