I grew up here . Tons of memory's. 6 kids , mom , and dad . The Burgtorfs, Robert and Shirley . My dad Robert and my grandpa Burgtorf (William , or bill ) built this house on the basement that was currently there when my dad purchased the property I believe in the early 70s , maybe 69 . I was born in 1975 and love the life I had here . Great place , great memories of raising pigs and chickens , rabbits ,and goats . My dad farmed the land with a 1942 John deer b . And an old diesel narrow front Minneapolis Moline. I was his permanent shadow when dad wasn't working at GM ( fisher body ) . Everyone new everyone . All the farmers helped each other out when needed . Sadly my dad sold the farm when I was 12 . So around 1987 or 88 .
