I grew up on S. Tripp Road, Amboy Twp., Hillsdale Co., Michigan. My family first bought land on this road in the mid 1830's, and until 2010 several generations of my family had been on this road. This farm appears to me to be what at one point was the Gearig Farm. My mother told me that their young daughter had fallen off a small balcony on the home and had died- perhaps 1930's or so. The farm buildings are no longer there. It was on the east side of the road, about 300 or 400 feet north of 14610 S. Tripp Road. There is a small creek right at the road at this point, and the driveway was right there to the east. The buildings were located back from the road, up on the hill. Driveway at the top of hill circled to the north to the buildings.

The address of the neighboring property should read 14611 S. Tripp Road. Originally the addresses were only the first four digits and then the county added to the end of the addresses- a "1" for those on the east side of the road, and a "0" for those on the west side of the road.
