2401 E. Dexter Trail Dansville, MI 48819
Original land grant for 160 acres (including this area) to Silas Holt in 1835. He and his sons and family lived and farmed in this area for many years.
1870 Holt family members sold the farm to Wm. Howlett. The Howlett family lived and farmed here into the 1960's.
The wood barn is no longer there, it burned at some point in time before 1984.
1984 photo shows debris pile where barn was located, currently only some broken concrete foundation slab remains. Metal equipment shed and silos are still standing.
