This is the Rath family homestead. It has been in our family for over 150 years. The unique rounded roof barn is reported to be the only one in Michigan with that style of roof. It was built around 1917 by Belgian craftsmen using over 100 kegs of nails. The house was re-built in 1991 after a fire destroyed most of the interior. Some of the smaller buildings have been removed and there is a large Morton building in their place.
