This was my home for 53 years. My grandfather (Frank R Siler) bought the 97 acre farm in 1902. The original part of the house (the Center part) was built the next year. The original barn was in 1903 for some animals. The gambrel roof was built in 1905 and the addition was added in 1915. They both burned in a fire in 1959 and were replaced with the steel pole barn (105by 40â™) which stands today. My Dad & Mom owned and farmed or rented the land until 1999 when they sold the farm. The house has been changed and remodeled by 2 subsequent owners.
