Photo 126-GTU-1

Comments

This was my grandparent's (David and Beatrice Thompson) house. This house is built out in the middle of the 80 acres he owned because, at the time it was built, that was the highest spot on the property. Before the drainage ditches were dug, all this area was basically swampland. His barn used to be in that open area behind the truck, and it was a round one. Since this picture was taken, this has been changed quite a bit. The outbuildings have been torn down and the trees between them and the house were removed and a large barn/shed has been put up. A fence row of trees has been added along the edge of the yard and a drive added between the trees and the field.
