This is the Lake E lizabeth creamery. My grandfather used to haul butter to Atwater and during the winter he took a short cut across lake Elizabeth lake. One year in early winter he met the postman also driving horses and he told grandpa that he had crossed the lake, so grandpa pulled down on the lake with a big load of butter and the ice started to crack. He realized the postman had a light sleigh, it it was too late and he couldn’t turn back. He made it across with the ice cracking under him the whole way. He drove with his knife out so he could cut the Haimes on the horses if they went through. In latter years Connie speets bought the property and the speets family still live there.
