According to the Abstract of Title, this parcel has been owned by the State of Minnesota, Southern Minnesota Railroad Company, Samuel B. Ruggles, Albon P. Man, Patrick McCaffrey (P.H. McCaffrey), George and Anna McCaffrey, Theodore Utley (Ted Utley) and Esther Utley, Robert Powell (Bob Powell) and Marilyn Powell, Dayle Grooters and Christine Grooters, and most currently Shane Johnson and Tanya Johnson.

The house in the photo was built by Utleys around 1948/1949 and is still there today, although Johnson's have added an attached garage. All outbuildings and several trees were damaged by a tornado in 2011, Johnson's built a garden shed/shop on the existing hog barn foundation.
